It was a long summer for my hair.
- I wore it in a ponytail almost every day.
- I let the summer sun fry it to death.
- I totally ignored my split ends.
- I didn’t once give it a deep conditioning treatment.
Basically, I neglected my hair for many months, so today was the day to finally take care of it and bring it back to life.

Several weeks ago, I picked up a coupon for 25% off services at a local salon, so I decided to get my hair colored and cut there this afternoon. I figured if I was going all out, I might as well try to save some money!

My new stylist did a great job with the color and cut. She went with a dark, espresso brown, and then trimmed up my layers. I’m really happy with how it turned out. Mal and I are meeting friends for dinner tonight, so I’ll be sure to snap a photo of my new do to share tomorrow.
Lunch
After my haircut, I headed home for a late lunch. I made a “garbage salad” with all sorts of random goodies from the refrigerator: romaine lettuce, quinoa, red potatoes, mushrooms, tomatoes, crumbled feta, and balsamic vinegar.

On the side, I drank some pineapple juice mixed with water.

After lunch, I satisfied my sweet tooth with an Adora disk + peanut butter, which tasted like a healthier Reeses Peanut Butter Cup. Mmm.
I’m off! See ya!
