At age 42 (I know you are thinking I don’t look a day over 30, right? LOL!), I am truly in the best shape of my life in terms of strength and cardio stamina. But, as many of us of a certain age, I have “trouble zones” that I would not mind a little improvement especially in my thighs.
Last week, LauraJane reflected on her “healthiness journey,” and realized what a significant role blogging and reading blogs has played in that journey. She then wrote post called Five Bloggers That Have Changed My Life. One of the blogs she mentioned in her post was my marathon recap. Similarly, a number of posts have inspired me and stuck with me over the years, so here are the blog posts that have changed me. Thanks for the inspiration, Laura Jane!
Getting healthy for life is about figuring out what activities you like to do, setting a goal, eliminating the barriers. Being active is different for everyone. My evening was spent like this: (resting and receiving dirty looks from Oscar.) While watching this (!!!!!!) happen: [source] Yup! The Bruins were pretty amazing last night! The first few minutes of the first period were literally jaw dropping, I had to close my own mouth more than once. I had no voice to scream, so the self high-fiving and the classy fist pump were both in full effect! It’s just that I’ve got a lot on my mind, and am now finally going to share all of that with you! 1. For one, I enrolled in the Institute for Integrative Nutrition to become a certified health coach with a holistic focus, and will begin taking online classes in the fall. Think of your muscles like a rubber band. If you tie the band up and pull it tight you get a small bump. If you were to work the muscle in this condition the bump will only increase tightness...
