“Market Cheeseburger, Russian Dressing, $16″ printed plainly and simply in black and white is how the menu at Market reads. Because of this, I think it’s an easy one to overlook and write off as another fancy restaurant that only put a burger on it’s menu out of obligation. However, burger lovers out there, don’t make that assumption and pass up this burger because if you do, you’ll be missing out on arguably one of my new favorite burgers. This particular burger is not a new addition to my favorites list because it’s flashy or takes risks and utilizes unique ingredients. Instead,...

In the land of burgers, the bacon cheeseburger is king, and while two bacon cheeseburgers can be two very different experiences, the truth of the matter is that it’s the standard burger offering. Since I joined Burger Boy on his quest this past October, I’ve certainly had my fair share of bacon cheeseburgers. As much as I appreciate the classic, I sometimes find myself begging for someone to do something other than a bacon cheeseburger on brioche. I know it’s just a burger, but I’d love to see some risks taken to change up the game a little bit and...

Are you worried that Burger Month is going to slip away without you having the opportunity to properly celebrate it? Fear not, burger fans, this coming Tuesday (5/17) Burger Boy himself will be hosting a “Meat-Up” at Redline in Harvard Square at 7:00 PM. The “Meat-Up” is an opportunity to sip cocktails with fellow burger lovers, enjoy complimentary sliders and, if you’re brave enough, enter the slider eating contest. There will prizes, giveaways and lots of burgers! Hope to see you there! On a special note, this may be one of your last chances to get a Redline burger for a little...

If one of my friends or family members heard someone ask me the question, “What is your favorite thing to order when you go out to dinner?” I’m sure they would immediately answer with, “burger!” I literally love them so very much. As I’ve said before, they are my go-to option that never disappoints (actually, if it’s bad it will/has/does disappoint. But when it’s good, it’s just so darn enjoyable). Something else I love, (other than burgers) is trying out new restaurants. Last week Colin told me to pick out a restaurant that we could go to to celebrate my...

Well because I’ve been in a rut in the kitchen, I decided to have another theme week. This week I went with burgers. Specifically, burgers I’ve had jotted down in my menu-planning notebook but have yet to cook. The first I found in the book was Cara’s Brie Stuffed Turkey Fig Burgers. I changed quite a bit about this recipe but the idea is all Cara- mixing sweet figs with melty brie cheese and healthy turkey is a win-win. My husband and I loved this burger! I know I know, flash photography- but it was late by the time we...

One of the reasons that I enjoy writing this blog is that it has opened my world to new food, new people and new opportunities. I’ve been lucky to meet some extraordinary people who I first considered my “blogger pals” but quickly became good friends. Kristen is one of these wonderful people! Although Kristen and I followed each other’s blogs for a little while, we actually first met at a Mystery Meet dinner at Ten Tables last summer. Since then, we’ve shared so many meals, drinks and emails together, and I’m grateful for our friendship! Last month, Kristen took a...
