Good morning! The Bruins won the Stanley Cup! I’m so happy. It’s been a long time coming. There’s nothing like growing up in a place like Boston. We are the BEST sports town ever. Everyone is connected by sports here. You can go anywhere and strike up a conversation about one of our teams because it’s like everyone in the entire state is a sports fan. There really is nothing like it. Well, it’s Thursday and usually I do Three Things Thursday where I complain about three things that are driving me to drink. There’s really only one thing bugging...

Melissa Nibbles: Hey there! Happy Hump Day! I was having trouble thinking of something to write about today and what does a blogger do when they run out of ideas? A list! An easy thing to do is list things you like so here are some things I’m into lately. 1. Thumbs Up on Netflix. This series follows host David Choe as he hitchhikes, hops trains, and scams rides across America interviewing modern-day hobos and unlikely characters along the way. I like this series because not only is it funny, but it’s cool to see how different Americans are all...

Good morning! I’m still dragging to work today, but I blame that on staying up watching the Bruins game last night and ironing until almost midnight. Don’t ask me why I was ironing at that hour, but the mood struck so I went with it. You’d be surprised at how much of a neat freak I’ve turned into since moving to my apartment. I know! Do you believe it? It’s a well known fact how much I hate to clean and really don’t even know how, but when you live in a studio apartment, things can get nasty pretty fast....

Happy Monday! Not so happy for me. I’m back at work after a fun vacation. I hung out with friends, ate good food, slept late, read books, went to the movies, all those good things. Saturday I met up with a friend that I hadn’t seen in five years. We ate bone marrow, drank a bottle of wine, drank ruby red vodka, and met some dudes wearing fanny packs. It was a lot of fun. I hope it’s not another five years before we hang out again. If you’re reading this, text me boo! Yesterday I barely got of bed....

Hey guys! Happy Friday! Yesterday I was supposed to go to the beach, but when I woke up, it was pouring and thundering and lightening. I waited it out and around noon the sun started to come out. We decided to head down to Plymouth, MA to hang out on the water and grab lunch. We ate fried sea creatures at The Lobster Hut and walked along the jetty. It turned out to be a beautiful afternoon for a walk on the water. This was the most beautiful of all though: That’s right f y’all ladies! That picture is now...

Hey Nibblers! So Three Things Thursday over here at MelissaNibbles is an event. People come from miles around just to see what Ms. Nibbles is pissed off about today. Well I apologize to all of you who came all this way, because today you get to hear what I, The Cookie Battle, am pissed off about instead (although Melissa and I are often pissed off about all the same stuff anyway). So away we go! 1. Fake Bitches. You know who you are. I can’t stand people that pretend to like someone when they really don’t (and then subsequently go...

I’m glad everyone enjoyed yesterday’s post about being a spinster. A lot of you commented that you were surprised someone would say that to me. I wasn’t. People say a lot of strange things to me that are backhanded compliments or insults. I’m not sure why this is. Maybe because I joke around so much? I don’t know. I think people assume I don’t have feelings or a serious side, but I do....

[source] According to the Merriam Webster Dictionary, a spinster is, “an unmarried woman and especially one past the common age for marrying” and “a woman who seems unlikely to marry.” I was called a spinster the other day by a well-meaning older woman I work with. I was talking about my new apartment and when she found out I live alone at the old age of 31, she commented that “it was sad to see such a pretty girl be forced to become a spinster.” Yes, society has forced me and shunned me away! No one wants to marry MelissaNibbles!...

Friday night Steph, Rhea and I met up with my girl Liv and her friend Steph who were in Boston visiting some friends. We grabbed dinner and drinks and the fun ensued. I’ll keep the recap short and let the pictures speak for themselves. First, we started with gossip Then came the semen! That is my “let’s get out of here” look. We moved on to another place sans semen. I discovered Ruby Red Absolut at this joint. Direct orders from Ms. Nibbles are to add it to your life!
Hi friends! Happy Friday! This week flew by didn’t it? I’m off today and REALLY looking forward to tonight. I’m meeting up with some badass ladies for a ladies night out in Fenway. We’re all going through our own personal dramas so I have a feeling we’re going to imbibe a little too much and it’ll probably turn into Hangover 3. Might get my face tattooed. I went out to eat last night, but didn’t take pictures because I was with four other people and would’ve felt like a jerk.
