Sunday In NYC!

Sunday morning Adam and I got up around 8:30 am, pretty sore and a little tired. We showered and got ready to meet my Mom and Dad for Brunch. We went to a brunch place in Tribeca that was recommended by my Uncle and Aunt who go to NYC often.  Locanda Verde was an adorable little restaurant that uses farm fresh eggs, has a great menu and adorable decor.

I started off with a coffee, after a night out with the hubs- I needed some coffee!

We were brought out some bread and we all quickly devoured it. It was unbelievable! It was crispy on the outside, soft on the inside it was warm and the onion flavor was light.  Adam even liked it and he hates onions.

While waiting for our food, FFF Mom and I split a fruit salad. It was a great mix, we both decided we love when there are apples in fruit salad. I can’t wait to make tons of fruit salad this summer! Hurry up, summer!

For my meal I ordered the zucchini frittata. It was topped with a whipped goat cheese and sundried tomatoes.

I loved this, the goat cheese topping made it and really spread out nice throughout the whole fritatta. I have about 2/3 of it. On the side I had some garlic home fries, they were good, but I was stuffed, Adam ate most of them.

After brunch we decided to walk it off a little. We walked down Canal Street. I actually hated the whole experience of Canal Street. I don’t like being harassed to go into someones store, or followed around being sprayed by perfume. FFF Dad loves bargaining, but not I.  After Canal Street, Adam and I walked around site seeing a little bit more, just trying to take in the last of the sites before boarding the bus to ride home.

On the ride home, the movie was Amelia with Hilary Swank. It was based on Amelia Earhart and not going to lie, was kind of a snoozefest. I was not really interested in and an watched it just to pass the time. I drifted in and out of sleep. We arrived home around 7:15 pm and I was craving pizza and salad. Adam and I ordered from a new place. I asked for a veggie pizza and he got a cheese pizza, I also got a garden salad.

When we opened the boxes we saw that we had gotten a cheese and a Hawaiian pizza. I was not impressed. I ended up just having 2 slices of Adam’s pizza instead.

It was fine, not great, but it did the trick. Adam and I were exhausted from a fun but busy weekend and we headed to bed at 8:30 pm :)
