Football Saturday

There is nothing more healthy than a great rivalry.  And today, is rivalry Saturday in College Football.  My game is the Ohio State vs Michigan.  (Go Blue!) As I’m working my way through my holiday list making, I can enjoy the game.  When I was pregnant with my first child, I would watch college football every Saturday.  It was my absolute favorite day of the week.  What I like most is the nostalgia of history between the teams playing one another.  And the roar of the college crowd sporting their team colors through and through.

Don’t get me wrong, I know that professional football teams’ fans are equally as endearing to their team, but there’s something about College Football that takes you to a place that the NFL can’t.  Technically, these players aren’t getting paid.  They live and breathe for their school, their team mates, and all while getting an education.  It’s as though a player is born from their college football team, that is where they began and their team is their home.  Whey else would Pro players say where they played college football when introduced on TV line-ups?  Because college football is the mother of all football.

In actuality, I prefer college sports to most professional sports because of this never-ending association with their school.  But note, NFL players still bleed their school colors.  Sit back, and soak up the rivalry!

Stay healthy, be fit, and have fun!
