To imagine the past year as a thing of the past seems so difficult. I have met so many amazing people in the last year, I just want it to continue. I suppose that’s why the new year allows us to take what we loved from the year, and leave behind those we didn’t. Here’s my list of things I’m bringing with me to 2012 and what I’m not.
What, and who, I’m Bringing to 2012:
- My sense of humor – it’s been a funny year, and I just keep getting funnier.
- Friendships that I’ve made – Sugar N Friendship is all I need!
- My filofax – I just cannot give up on paper calendars
- My big blue Explorer, Bessie – she just keeps on running after 11 years!
- One Fit Foodie – what an amazing person through and through, she never gives up!
- Healthy Chick – she taught me more about myself this year than she even knows.
- Boutique 4 a Week – I just have to say she’s one of my best friends who’s always there to cheer me on.
- My Frother – the best Christmas gift ever that my kids got for me after I showed them which one I wanted at the store.
- My iPad – what a genius little item.
- My iPhone – yet another genius little item
- My Mac Book Pro – it’s lucky I don’t have more money, or I’d get a new one. We’ll just give it a makeover in 2012.
- My sense of curiosity – it’s taken over my fear of the unknown, and I really like this feeling.
- Water bottle – it will go with me to the ends of the earth.
- Scarves – trademark needs to continue on until I find something new
- White jacket – same as above, it’s five years old now, but I love it like I just got it.
- Red Wine – do I need to really explain this one?
- Partnerships – I’ve made some great ones this year, with Boston Sports Med, Harvest Delivery, Woodman’s, Imagine Marketing Group, Cocktails and Connections, the Boston Lobsters, Be Healthy Boston, Me2Roo, Lisa Johnson, Sheer Balance, Pretzel Crisps, Zico Water, Ibex, BostonSports then and now, Magic 106.7, Cabot, Hood, Yogibo, the list could go on and on.
- Twitter – oh how it keeps me on top of things
- Foursquare – I love being mayor of something no one knows about
- Facebook – so grateful I am able to catch up with old friends and new ones
- LinkedIn – amazing little connector I need to rely on more in 2012
- YouTube – way too much fun and plan to post more videos in 2012
- Tumblr – silly little way to read silly, short little blog posts
- Pagemodo – so grateful this helps to create cool pages on Facebook
What I’m not bringing into 2012:
- A bad attitude – who ever needs this?
- Negativity – I have no time to dwell on the bad stuff, so why bring any with me from 2011
- My big lazy butt – its time for it to go!
- 1/2 of my wardrobe – really, some of it is so 90′s, not sure that look will ever come back
- Jeans with buttons missing – ok, just get a new pair already
- Backpack – Time for a big girl workout bag
- Bad spending habits – if you don’t have the cash, you don’t have the money
- The old BSW logo, it’s time to go!
There you have it! What are you bringing and what are you leaving behind?
Stay fit, be healthy, and have fun!
