  • Hey FFF readers! My name is Lisa and I blog about food, fitness, and everything in between over a WantBelieveAchieve.com. After living like two blocks away from each other in Charlestown for months, Ali and I finally bumped into each other at an Avalon Crossfit class back in April. Since then we have taken Boston by storm by taking countless Crossfit classes, running, racing, and just being our cool selves While Ali is on vacation I am psyched to be able to do my first EVER guest post here . With summer BBQ season upon us, I wanted to share...

  • Hi there.  My name is Elizabeth and I blog at On Tap for Today.  I am thrilled to be guest-posting for one of my favorite fellow Bostonians!  I don’t think I would have survived the Stanley Cup finals if it weren’t for our ridiculous tweets back and forth, Ali.  For real. As we head into the middle of July, it is officially hotter than Pippa Middleton in the city.  With a fall marathon to train for, and a somewhat normal reputation to maintain, I am always looking for ways to stay cool, avoid sweating like a man… and still get...

  • This post post if brought to you by my good friend Elise MS,RD. We were outside watching the bees work in the lavender when the call came in.. “Grammy called, there are raspberries!” Two minutes later we were all in the car and on our way to the best pick-your-own patch I know, my mother’s garden. The boys and I picked (and ate) until we had gotten our fill (aren’t they beautiful!?) It’s no wonder they were gone in a flash! I have no recipes for raspberries today since they always get eaten too quickly, but I will share my...

  • Hi lovelies! Sara over here, I blog (sporadically   ) at Miles and Manhattan. When Ali asked for guest bloggers I jumped on the bandwagon since I adore her blog, her puppy and her amazing accent, obviously. I thought I would do a guest post about something I know all too well which is juggling a million things at once, aka being overwhelmed. So to briefly explain my expertise in being overwhelmed, this is my current situation: I am engaged and planning a wedding without the help of a wedding planner/coordinator or anything. Every single last detail of the wedding...

  • This post is brought to you by Kara Lydon RD, LDN(another blogger/RD buddy like Janel)- enjoy all!! I can’t get enough of kale. A nutritional powerhouse, kale is packed with vitamin A, C, K, lutein, and beta-carotene. Not only does kale contain super antioxidants, it also contains fiber, which fills you up and leaves you satisfied after a meal. Kale, a form of wild cabbage, is no new kid to the block. It has been around since before the Middle Ages and originated in Europe. This dark, leafy green is one tough vegetable. Its leaves are resistant to damage from...

  • I’m so happy to be guest posting on MFR while Meg is enjoying a blissful wedding weekend and honeymoon fun. This recipe was inspired by a salsa I had while I was on my honeymoon last month in Costa Rica! I have said before that salsa is more than a condiment to me…it’s a food, or at least in the quantities I eat it! I love how there are so many tasty varieties of the veggie-packed condiment, from sweet to spicy, chunky to smooth, bean or corn based, red or green. I love it so much, I decided to make...

  • Hey all you FFF readers! My name is Samantha and write a little blog called Running and Cupcakes .  Many of you have probably never heard of me, but I’m hoping tthat’s about to change! When Ali posted on Twitter that she was looking for guest writers, I jumped at the opportunity. I will admit, I didn’t know what to write about at first.  Yes, I run, and yes, I love to bake.  But I wanted something festive, something summery, something…well…fun! Given it’s summer, and it’s Fourth of July weekend, it finally came to me.  I hope you enjoy! Hot...
