Shop and Talk!

Hello, all of you little cuties!!! I hope everyone is doing well. I didn’t blog last night because I was absolutely exhausted! I think I was in bed between 8:30 and 9:00 pm. I think it was a combination of a tough Crossfit Bootcamp class and Oscar laying next to me and falling asleep. That dog can make me pass out at the drop of a dime.

Lunch yesterday was the last of my Tofu stir-fry leftovers:

I was kind of sad to see these leftovers go because this was a quality stir-fry. Just the right balance of spicy and salty. I will have to make it again sometime soon!

Work was super busy yesterday because we had new freshman orientation. I think that combined with staying up late for the Bruins game set me up for being a little worn out yesterday. I felt like I could fall asleep at around 3:30pm. Instead of going to bed after work though, I went to Lisa’s house to change and go to Crossfit Bootcamp with her.

Class was outside. It was pretty hot out! We did a super light warm up to start. I think we were all pretty warm just from carrying our kettle bells from the gym to the track.

  • windmills
  • self huggers
  • 10 air squats
  • 20 jumping jacks

The workout looked like this:

  • 10 tricep dips
  • 20 kettlebell swings (12kg)
  • 30 box jumps
  • 40 walking lunges on the track
  • a lap around what was left of the tack after the lunges (about 1/3 od the track)

This workout was KILLER! I think there were a few reasons I felt like it was so difficult:

  1. It was so humid and my body is not used to working out in the heat yet.
  2. I did not hydrate well beforehand.
  3. I was already sore from the Navy SEAL workout the day before- like really sore!
  4. My body hated the box jumps yesterday.

At any rate, I got through it. It was good to have Lisa with me. She was struggling too, but I think we really kept each other going.  I love having her as my workout buddy!!! :)

I did my workout modeling on of my new Food Fitness Fashion shirts from my t-shirt shop.

I love it! The fit is great, especially the length!!! :)(Are those two ab muscles coming through my shirt?! WOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOO! Crossfit, you are paying off).

When I got home I immediately showered, I was soooooo sweaty. I took a nice cold shower in the dark. I was just sooooo hot. Then I got to making dinner. I had a veggie burger topped with hot sauce on a burnt toasted whole wheat sandwich thin on the side I had pretty much the best summer salad ever! Spring mix, watermelon, feta and balsamic vinaigrette!

If you like watermelon and you like feta, you NEED to try this! Seriously it is soooooo awesome- great salty and sweet combination.

Dessert- leftover dark chocolate from Easter.

Switching gears:
