Sonsie & It’s OK!

Hi friends! Happy Friday! This week flew by didn’t it? I’m off today and REALLY looking forward to tonight. I’m meeting up with some badass ladies for a ladies night out in Fenway. We’re all going through our own personal dramas so I have a feeling we’re going to imbibe a little too much and it’ll probably turn into Hangover 3. Might get my face tattooed.

I went out to eat last night, but didn’t take pictures because I was with four other people and would’ve felt like a jerk. I just can’t whip out my camera like most of you do. I feel rude and a little embarrassed. I don’t think I’ll ever get over it. We went to Sonsie on Newbury Street. I had never been there before and have always heard great things. We ate on the patio and it was perfect for people watching. There weren’t many people there because we ate at 5:30 like old people because my friend had to work after. It was weird to eat that early, but nice not to have to wait an hour for a table. I had tweeted asking what I should order and Sarah suggested the spaghetti carbonara. The menu description sounded delicious so that’s what I ordered. It did not disappoint. Thanks Sarah! I’ll definitely be heading back to Sonsie. I want to try a cocktail next time!

It’s Friday and we know what that means….It’s time for It’s OK! I don’t read Glamour because I’m too busy living it, but I do like their “It’s OK…”feature where they assure us that our weird little habits are completely normal. I’m dedicating this post to assuring you it’s okay to do the following this weekend:

  • To check out five beverages that surprisingly aren’t vegan.
  • To think twice about dating a guy if you have to pay a toll every time you drive home. WTF Boston?!
  • To agree with Rick Reilly and root for the Mav’s in the NBA Finals because, “Nowitzki never took his talents anywhere but to the damn gym every day.”
  • To get yourself a year subscription to Elle for $4.99 (I like sharing good deals with you guys).
  • To scream, “No one gives a sh*t what you’re wearing!” when yet ANOTHER healthy living blogger posts photos of her super fashionable outfit. Seriously, wearing dress pants and a button down shirt does not make you a fashion plate.
  • To be excited that you slept late for once on your day off. Who cares if 6am is early for most people?
  • To feel like an a-hole for bitching about your cable being out after you see the devastation in the other part of the state from the tornado. To be fair, your cable was out, you didn’t know.
  • To not understand the point of Wheatless Wednesday. Seriously? If you don’t have celiac disease of whatever, cut that gluten free crap out. Just eat without having to be a trend whore.
  • To tell your lover, “Hey, if this it…let me go.”

Enjoy your weekend!
