Another beautiful day to enjoy, and what have I planned for today? Nothing, but staying clear away from any store. I used to love going shopping the day after Thanksgiving, but now, the stores are so desperate for business they’re now advertising “Black Friday”. There was a time when today was a day in which the news media referred to it as Black Friday, but now, the advertisers are calling it out, and my daughter is confused.
“Mom, is Black Friday a holiday?” she asks me. I guess in a way it is, but not one we celebrate. Or maybe its a day in which we should embrace, and shop and take advantage of the crazy savings. Or, better yet, it’s the day to kick-off our holiday plan of attack.
I’m a list maker. I even have lists of lists, and lists on my iPhone. So, I’ll start making my holiday planning list and then put it all into my calendar to keep track. Here’s where I’ll start:
- Decor for the House
- Decor for Outside
- Christmas Cards
- Baking
- Gifts
- Charities
- Parties
- Fitness
Then, I will take each of these and make lists from there. Again, putting into the calendar. This way, it won’t seem so overwhelming, I’ll be able to tackle each task independently, and be able to enjoy them too. How do you plan for the holidays?
You saw the Fitness line right? Don’t forget to put it on your calendar. I was reading My Personal Fit Coach’s blog one day and she suggested to add fitness into your calendar. I love this idea, and I think you will too.
Stay healthy, be fit, and have fun!
