Saving The Selves of Our Girls…

Saving The Selves of Our Girls…

First of all, thanks for all the comments, e-mails and tweets regarding my last post about my health issues. I will keep you all posted on the progress as I figure things out. I am sure it is all nothing and honestly, I have jumped over bigger hurtles in my life. If you follow me on twitter or are a facebook friend you may have noticed my interest in this article that I saw thing morning on CNN. It immediately attracted my attention for a number of reasons: 1.      I just watched a documentary on the Jon Benet Ramsey case…

Why I have been gone…

Hello! Yes, I am back. I had over 400 blog e-mails this morning and if that doesn’t say ‘it’s time” I am not sure what would. I was amongst the missing for over a week and it was actually kind of hard for me to take a break, but awesome at the same time. I love blogging and I love the community and “family” I have made through blogging, but sometimes a girl just needs to not have her life all over the internet for a while. I have been blogging for almost 2 years straight (where did the time…

Sad Songs

Sad Songs

Finally, a real soundtrack to slit your wrists to! I saw this on sale at Heathrow Airport and thought it was amazing.  Why hadn’t anyone thought of this before? Do you know how many times I’ve wished I had a playlist labeled “feel bad for yourself tunes” that I could throw on? Multiple.  It’s the perfect mix to put on after a break-up, a fight, a bad day at work or just another event in my constant quarter life crisis. I’ve listed a few of the songs below, all are amazing. Especially Sinead O’Connor.  And, don’t you worry this is only Volume 1! There are many other sad…

So maybe it’s not all in my head…

So maybe it’s not all in my head…

Hello! Thanks for putting up with my weird blogging schedule. I promise after this month of grad school hell is over it will be back to normal. I did want to update you all about my running issues. I did get myself through the NYC 13.1 and you can read the recap here, if you haven’t. I also ran a 5-miler this weekend. I felt better during this 5-miler than I had in a while, but still not great or like I used to by any means. I have mentioned that I had a physical coming up with my doctor…

Sunday In NYC!

Sunday In NYC!

Sunday morning Adam and I got up around 8:30 am, pretty sore and a little tired. We showered and got ready to meet my Mom and Dad for Brunch. We went to a brunch place in Tribeca that was recommended by my Uncle and Aunt who go to NYC often.  Locanda Verde was an adorable little restaurant that uses farm fresh eggs, has a great menu and adorable decor. I started off with a coffee, after a night out with the hubs- I needed some coffee! We were brought out some bread and we all quickly devoured it. It was…

Internships and Papers- I am a Grad Student!

Internships and Papers- I am a Grad Student!

Yesterday morning I got up feeling much more rested, which was good considering I had a lot to do. Since I had a weekend of rich eating, I really wanted to get back to the cleaner eating that my body is used to. For breakfast I have oatmeal topped with berries and a cup of coffee. Nothing makes me feel healthier than oatmeal I started back at my old office again, the bounce back and forth should be minimized now and I am delighted about that I felt a little rusty at first but caught back up immediately and was…

Our Running Shoes Have Magic In Them!

Our Running Shoes Have Magic In Them!

Morning! How are you all? I am doing well, since it is Wednesday! Mondays and Tuesdays are difficult for me because I have class right after work both days. It is like a double whammy right at the beginning of the week. Once Wednesday comes usually* my life is a little less of a rat race. Yesterday after work I had some time before my 7:15 pm class to get something done. I usually use this time to workout, but I had an awful stomach ache, so I used it to get some homework done instead. Once I was done…

Surprise Lunch Date!

Surprise Lunch Date!

Hello blog friends! I had a nice surprise lunch date today My handsome husband was working right near my office today so I took my lunch a little late so I could eat with him. Since I have been raving about Zoup for the past few weeks, Adam was super excited to try it! Today that had chicken pot pie soup on the menu, which was one of his favorites so he was happy! I tired a soup I hadn’t had yet. It was a sesame ginger bowl soup. It had chicken, carrots,  rice noodles and scallions in it. On…

Pink Beer!

Pink Beer!

Gooood morning! Can you believe it is Thursday already?! Sheesh- this week is flying by. Yesterday after work I headed to my part-time job to meet up with some customers. It took a lot longer than I thought it would. I was worried I wouldn’t make it to  my Crossfit class. But, alas I made it I had to change so I missing the pre-workout stretch, but that was okay. I really hate days that are a rat race like that and it has been that way all week so far. But, as soon as I started working out all…
